Charger and Focus ST
First off, I love my local Budget car rental. They buy Charger Scat Pack editions, Focus ST, Dodge Power Wagon, Mustang GT (6-speed), and some other exciting and not-your-average rental cars. Cars with some style and power.
Yesterday I started out in a Mustang GT manual transmission, having reserved a “premium sedan” or whatever. I need the cargo space, and the Mustang couldn’t deliver, so I went to the airport branch and exchanged it for a cherry red Charger Scat Pack.
The roads look terrible, as there is a winter storm warning for most of today along the northbound I-15 corridor heading into SLC. I leave soon and hope traction control and performance tires are up to it. It was bad enough in the rain yesterday.

Edit: M ade it fine! Lost traction on the highway through the worst spot (light acceleration while changing lanes trying to avoid driving behind a plow truck) , but there roads were petty ok otherwise , and the Charger is awesome!

I’m a bit worried about the Mercedes or Cadillac I renteed fit my trip to Denver. I’m assuming they’ll be on factory run flats, my experience with run flats on snow in my car was not good and it’s AWD

Good Lord man - keep the foot off the go-pedal in the corners if it’s wet or slushy. All the torques could have the back end swinging out in no time. You’ll be painting guard rails red before you know it.

I wonder who is ordering those.
I had a Hertz Scat Pack Challenger in November. Snow was coming, so I exchanged it.

Make sure the insurance is up to date (either yours if they cover rentals or theirs ... doesn’t matter as long as you aren’t paying for all the repairs out of pocket) and keep the shiny side up.

There was an avalanch at Provo Canyon area last night, I want to say it was caused by UDOT, kind of like a controlled burn.
If you’re looking for a good beer and a bite to eat, Squatters in the downtown area is pretty alright, so’s the Green Pig. Take a Lyft or Uber to get anywhere if you’ve been drinking, Utah’s new DUI laws kicked in around New Years.
